From WTRF: WHEELING (June 9, 2018) – Hundreds of people gathered at Oglebay Park’s Levenson Shelter for the annual “Party in the Park” on Saturday night.

The non-profit group Circus Saints & Sinners hosted the event for the 12th year to raise money for a local charity.

This year’s recipient is the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley.

These evenings of food, fun and music have raised more than $100,000 since they began.

“We essentially raise money for charities and give it away,” said event chairman Paul Smith. “In 2015 we were recognized by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin with the West Virginia Governor’s Service Award and in the last 10 years we’ve raised over $300,000 and given it away to local charities.”

Music for the evening was provided by the band Jukebox from Pittsburgh.

Party in the Park was presented by Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration and WTRF was a sponsor as well.

Circus Saints & Sinners has been in the Wheeling area since 1929.
